Take note of the bail. This is brickstitch done with 8/0 pink Miyuki that correspond to two 15/0 white Delicas. I did a triangle, leaving a long tail, and then used the long tail to do a triangle down the back. The one bead at the end of the triangle is then attached to the top bead in the peyote stitched bail. The two different sizes of beads in the bail give it texture. In addition to white 15/0 Delicas and 8/0 pink Miyuki beads, there is one row of vintage pink Czech silver-lined seed beads in the bezel.
The knotted pearl necklace was made at the last BSNH bead retreat in the fall, and one very generous attendee gave me this cabochon that she received in her ArtBeads goodie bag because it matched so well, and quite frankly, I was drooling over it. It's a perfect match, and I finally beaded around it with Miyuki and Delica beads. This is backed with white ultrasuede. The silk that I used to knot the pearls also matches extremely well.
I had intended to sell the pearl necklace, but when someone shows such generosity, the piece becomes a keepsake. This piece will go into my personal collection and will always remind me of the generosity of my fellow beaders.
