Wonderful blog!

Please, please, please check out this blog:

Page after page of lovely jewellery, and the generous woman has put loads of patterns in! Only downside - it's in French, although a lot of the illustrations are so clear, you don't need to be able to understand the language. I've already made two bracelets and a pendant!

Just discovered a new website ...

... and I thought I'd share, although there may be some people who already know it. Make a cup of coffee, type in 'beadwork' and sit back and enjoy! There's some truly stunning work on there.

How did you get started?

Over 35 years ago, there was a free gift with one of my mother's womens magazines ... a small clip together blue plastic beading loom. There was a pattern or two included in the magazine. I went out and bought the beads ... very basic colours and just called 'seed beads', no sizes! And the rest, as they say, is history. I came across it the other day (yes, I kept it ... nostalgia! lol!), and wondered what started everyone else on the slippery slope of bead addiction/obsession ... :D

A question ...

Work is progressing well on Starry Night ... 60 rows done. But the strip is almost too wide now to work on draped between finger and thumb. Any tips on what to do when it gets too big to hold?? At over 300 rows it's going to get waaaay bigger! :-)

Seek and you will find!

I've found the book Art Gecko came from! I knew it was here somewhere! It's from Suzanne Cooper's book 'Second Looks'.

I could have sworn I posted a "Thank You" graphic on your wall just a few moments ago, but now I don't see it. Just in case the graphic does not re-appear.... I want to say THANK YOU very much for your compliments on my work . It's much appreciated. Take care!
