At this time of the year, it is common for all of us to take stock and count our blessings. I am doing much the same thing. I have a wonderful family and three grandsons who I love dearly and take great pride in. I am lucky enough to have found a group of beaders here where I live that have become like family to me. We share each others lives and spend many hours together. In addition, I have found many friends over the internet who share my joy of beading. What more could a woman ask?

As often as I come to this site, I forget that I have a blog here that I should really add to once in a while. Went through a blah period in September. Just couldn't seem to bead, but fortunately it seems to be over. I am working on several different projects this year. I did a beaded doll for Beading for a Cure, participated in the Pink Artist Project and am making squares for Jeanette Shanigan's Bead Quilt this year too. This is my first blog on Beader's Showcase. Guess I should tell you a little about myself. I'm retired RN and I often help out at our local bead shop. As it's strictly volunteer, I only go in when I feel like it. It is nice, however, to go there and hang out with my friends and bead. I belong to the Central California Bead Society and teach beading classes.
