Think young love! This glass pendant takes on a funky vibe with it's pink and white polka dots. The pruple glass heart is a rich deep purple and is accented with a bevy of crystals dangles.

What is your favorite beading activity?
Wirework, chainmaille, general beading. I am absoultely in love with art glass.
Other beading activities you enjoy or want to learn about?

About Me:
After a rewarding career as a social worker I discovered I have artistic talent. Who knew? I've been creating jewelry for about 6 years. I enjoy making one-of-a-kind pieces and encorporating great art glass and natural stones, and twisting and wrapping wire. I'm always up for learning new techniques.

Continually amazed at the talent here.

I've been busy and haven't checked in on a regular basis. When I do, I'm just so amazed at the talent pool here on Beaders Showcase. Everyone here is so friendly and generous that I can't help but be pleased to be a part of it.

Hi Karen,

Thanks. Yes, this bead is a genuine jade. I bought it in Singapore, a local supplier, who is a chinese national. She brought them in from Myanmar. I do have a some collection of jade, from bangles, pendants, cabochons. I have them checked by a Hong Kong Gemologist and was verified genuine. Jade from China are actually Nephrite, Jade from Myanmar are known as Jadeite. Grade 'A' type are natural without any chemical treatment. Their pricing are pretty steep (natural jadeite). It's hard to come by genuine natural jadeite. I'm blessed to be able to source for these beauties :)
I could source for you if you like. Let me know the sizes you need.
Cheers & God Bless :)

Thanks Karen
Will give it a go and see what I can come up with. Don't have enough experience to experiment yet. Just have been following patterns precisely.

Hi, Karen! Thanks for the comment about my beadweaving! I've been doing it semi-professionally now for about five years, and I love it. The best part is that it lets me work at home so that I can take care of my toddler son!

Congrats on your son's graduation from college! You must be so thrilled and proud!

Thanks Karen. I did a dutch spiral a couple of weeks ago, but it looked very different. Perhaps I should alter my sequence of beads and see what I come up with

Hi! Thanks for ask!!! This is contest are different as others, every one use same amount of bead, can't add any other beads, but could choose different kind of wire, You will happy to see the result at the end, how many style people made by same amount of bead.
