I like to see photos of other people's work, but often I feel overwhelmed by the number of new pics that are posted - and if I find it overwhelming just to look through the new photos, what must it b…

As you can probably see in the picture, the original slice of crazy lace agate that I used here had regular bands of color on one side, breaking up into a riot of pale salmon and ivory frills on the other. I wanted to mimic that structure in the bea…

Oh, my. Those two cuffs are absolutely stunning! Why does it have to be an either/or decision - embroidery or weaving? I do mostly bead embroidery but do peyote woven straps to a lot of necklaces, and right now I'm working on something that begins…

I would definitely recommend the beading needles, because you should probably use mostly seed and bugle beads - these smaller beads kind of sink into the knit fabric and have a better chance of surviving wear and washings. Size 11 is pretty much the…

If you want to embroider on Tshirts, the single most important thing is to put some stabilizer under the embroidered area. I'd experiment with a couple of different brands; it needs to be strong because bead embroidery can make lightweight or stretc…

Don't know about beaded flowers, but let me shamelessly suggest that I've actually written a reasonably good book for getting started with bead embroidery: Embeadery. (www.flameweaver.com) All the other books suggested in this list are good too.

Hi, Linda. I don't think any of us want to jump in and say, "Oh, I'm the expert here, let me tell you how it's done," but if you have any more specific questions we'll probably all be glad to contribute. What kind of bead embroidery are you interest…

Oh, no, don't tone down the literary references at all- it will add so much more class to the names! I think you are on to something here. I swear sometimes it seems to take me longer to think up names than to make the piece. With the name generator, I could just type in a few "tags" and have my pick- I love it!

I love your idea of a title generator program! I'm not sure we would have to change many of the words. I have really stretched sometimes on names! Sometimes I have considered just going with George, Sally, Henry etc!!!
I did not realize you were the author of Embeadery. I love that book- I use it for reference very often. It has been a huge help.

Ok, now I am better educated. I love fossils and your ideas sound perfect for the heminorphite chunk. I'm eager to see the finished results.

But I over paid for some things also. I purchased some aquamarine irregular facets that I could have purchased in the wholesale area for $15 less.

Last week is when I really went hog wild. I bought a variety of faceted beads suitable for earrings- various shapes of Labordorite, iolite, smoky quartz and more pearls. I got some great things at some great prices.
