Hey there my new friend...what an impressive piece is your under the falls - you have certainly done yourself proud. Tell me Valerie - did you do the embroidery part of your piece with tambour beading, or was it done bead by bead following a pattern…
Hi Valerie, I'm new here and I just wanted to say that I am floored by this piece! It's amazing and you're definitely an artist. I'd be very glad to see more, and I will at some point. Right now I'm just trying to figure out how to take the pictures…
Hey Valerie - congratulations on the sale of your bracelet - I guess in this financial climate we are lucky to sell anything but then a wise old lebanese woman once told me to set my price and stick with it as everything is relevant, there is ALWAYS…
Other beading activities you enjoy or want to learn about?
I am presently going to school to learn goldsmithing, so I hope to incorporate my love of beads with metal work. I have just started making things from PMC.
About Me:
I have been beading for 7 years now. I have been fortunate enough to learn from great teachers, including David Chatt. As well, I've taught myself a variety of techniques. I am a member of the Niagara Beading Society (so that I don't become a complete mole in my basement beading room!). Recently my long time career ended and I have taken the opportunity to return to school. I am in the Jewellery Arts Program at George Brown College. My entrance portfolio was almost all beaded items - so I'd say beads have taken me a long way!
